USG Guided Biopsy
USG-guided biopsy, or ultrasound-guided biopsy, is a minimally invasive medical procedure used to obtain tissue samples from suspicious or abnormal areas detected on ultrasound imaging. During the procedure, a biopsy needle is precisely guided into the targeted tissue or mass using real-time ultrasound visualization. This allows for accurate sample collection while minimizing damage to surrounding healthy tissue. USG-guided biopsies are commonly performed to investigate abnormalities in organs such as the thyroid, breast, liver, and prostate. The collected tissue samples are then analyzed by a pathologist to provide a definitive diagnosis, guiding further treatment decisions for the patient.
