Peripheral Angiography/ Angioplasty

Peripheral angiography and angioplasty are medical procedures used to diagnose and treat blockages or narrowing in the arteries outside the heart, typically in the legs or arms. Angiography involves injecting a contrast dye and using X-rays to visualize blood flow, identifying blockages or constrictions. Angioplasty is often performed immediately after, using a balloon-like catheter to open narrowed arteries. In some cases, stents may be inserted to maintain blood flow. These procedures help improve blood circulation and relieve symptoms such as leg pain or cramping.
