Aneurysm Coiling
Aneurysm coiling, or endovascular coiling, is a medical procedure for treating cerebral aneurysms, which are weakened areas in brain blood vessels that can balloon and potentially rupture. During the procedure, a catheter is inserted into the blood vessels, guided to the aneurysm site, and coils are deployed to fill the aneurysm, promoting clot formation and preventing rupture. This minimally invasive technique reduces the risk of aneurysm rupture, while also minimizing patient recovery time and the need for open surgery.
